BUILT TO CELEBRATE THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF JOHN COOPER IN THE FORMULA 1 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS.
John Newton Cooper, born in Kingston, England in 1923, is a racing legend. With his technical innovations, ideas and above all, his passion, he shaped motorsport to a unique degree. Initially, he drove the cars he built himself, but later he dedicated himself entirely to car development- bringing the attitude and insight of a racer to every aspect of his work.
By the mid-1960s, John Cooper could look back on 16 Formula 1 victories in just nine years, with drivers such as Stirling Moss and Jack Brabham leading the team to two consecutive world championships (1959 and 1960).
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of these achievements, we are pleased to introduce the MINI John Cooper Works World Championship 50. This special edition model will be built in strictly limited numbers, with 250 cars available in Europe, only 100 of which will make it to the UK.
The MINI JCW World Championship 50 combines existing JCW features such as 3-spoke sport Alcantara steering wheel, JCW aerodynamic kit and anthracite headlining with special edition specification including 17" Cross-spoke challenge alloy wheels in Jet Black, Connaught Green paint, Bi-Xenon headlights with black interior reflectors and Black leather with red piping.
But thats not all! The MINI JCW World Championship 50, has nearly every imaginable gadget and gizmo in it's list of standard equipment. With features including full bluetooth, navagation system, automatic air conditioning, Harman Kardon Hi-Fi system and DAB radio, you will be hard pushed to find something missing!
With a 0-62 mph in just 6.5 seconds the MINI JCW World Championship 50 will literally leave the competition standing.
